About Our Pastor

Pastor Sterling was born the grandchild of the late Bishop Claude & Pastor Rose (Fleeting) Barber, who founded the Mt. Zion Church of the living God in Christ in Hartford CT. He later served under the leadership of his uncle and aunt, Bishop Jessie and Pastor Ethel Barber. After the church relocated to East Windsor CT, he finally accepted the call into ministry. Pastor Sterling comes from a long line of ministers, including his mother Elder Claudia Barber. 
Pastor Sterling has a strong passion for serving others and has worked as a mentor within the Hartford area. He strives to be a positive role model to all those he encounter. As the pastor of Restoration his desire is to create a place where any race or background can gather together to worship God in a judgement free environment, focusing on saving souls and restoring hearts back to God.
Along with working as a mentor, he continues to work a full time where he has been consistently employed with the State of CT for 20 years. He also studied at the Liberty University in the Christian Counseling school of education.
Although Pastor Sterling is like a father to many, he is the natural father to one son and a beautiful daughter-in-law who he loves very much. They also follow the long line of preachers.
